Exams guideline for 2019 UTME


Oloyede who debunked claims that JAMB had stated sales of 2019 forms months ago, said that the Board would commence the sale of UTME forms January 10, 2019. According to him, the sales will last for six weeks, followed by examination in March.

He said: “Sales of forms begins January 10, and it will be sold for six weeks.” Addressing owners and managers of 817 accredited CBT centres across the country,  Oloyede warned them against conniving with candidates in any form of malpractice,  adding that 50 CBT centres that were found culpable in the last examination have been banned

65-year retirement age for teachers- Mallam Adamu


The Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, on Thursday, said that President Muhammadu Buhari was in support of increasing the retirement age for teachers from 60 to 65 years.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria, Adamu made this known during a public hearing on the need to insulate teachers from the retirement age for public servants organised by the House of Reps Joint Committee on Basic Education and Public Service.

Adamu informed the committee that the Nigerian Union of Teachers had submitted the new retirement age proposal to the ministry and the National Assembly for approval.
